What’s the Point?
Created for The Point as a series of four online animated promos. The brief included the text and the requirement that it was to include sound, no voice and limited to a palette. I was free to interpret in anyway that I felt was appropriate. Through discussion with The Point’s creative director, Ian McKinnon-Evans, it was decided that an edgy, non-CG feel to the imagery and animation would be in keeping with their brand at the time.
The sound was created entirely from scratch using loops and sound effects, while the animation was created in After Effects, Photoshop and Painter. As the original four were created a while back and were only ever intended for online viewing, they were limited in size at only 640 x 360 pixels, therefore they have been upressed and strung together for showcasing here.
