Rigging a basic character in After Effects



This is a beginners tutorial on how to do the basic rigging of a character in After Effects. The project starts from a cutout character developed in Photoshop using layers for each of the items. The character is imported into After Effects and is rigged using parenting and proper placement of the anchor points. A very simple end animation demonstrates how you then use keyframes to control a parented structure.
