This promo was filmed on one of our Blackmagic 4K production cameras in 4K prores 422 HQ film mode with the help of the Octocoper team at cloud12 (http://www.cloud12.co.uk) for the Ariel shots using our BMC 4K and our 11-16mm Tokina with circular polarizor at f16-f22 and thanks to Joel Blackman for his surfing. The Café interiors were shot on a different day to the main Ariel shoot. We edited and graded the shots in Davinci Resolve with some original stabilisation done in Motion 5 for a previous long edit and one VFX shot was done with Mocha Pro and After Effects and Photoshop (the ‘Welcome to Putsborough Beach’ text on the beach). There are a few extra lens flare overlays from the Rampant Design lens FX pack too as we got minimal flare on the Tokina.

The music is by North Devon (Morthoe) local Peter Bruntnell http://www.peterbruntnell.net as part of a set of acoustic tracks made for us for another documentary which I think works very well and Pete was going on tour so had no time to do anything else.. The main 30min+ version for the Café to play out on a big HD TV will have no sound and wont be posted online but is a mix of the 5x cottage promos and more scenic shots from the local area and more surfing from Joel Blackman (http://www.joelblackman.co.uk/).
