Photoshop Tutorial: Adding Focus to Tutorial Images
Interspersing images through a text-based tutorial can be a helpful means to making one’s point understood—especially when one is explaining software. Sometimes though, even the images one uses can be too cluttered or busy to properly describe the point in view. In such cases, adding focus to an image can be beneficial.
In this tutorial, we’ll demonstrate one particular way (of thousands) to add focus to an image. We’ll be focusing first on solid fill adjustment layers and layer effects and then on automation using style presets and actions.
We’ll be using CS4, but these techniques should work fine on any version of Photoshop from the last decade.
