Midnight Games



My UCA Farnham short film for 2014, inspired by the Morecambe and Wise ‘Table Football’ sketch. When an arcade in closed at night, some table footballers come to life. Blue 2 is fed up with the same game everyday and wants to try something new. He gets Blue 3 to join him because due to their size they will need two people to operate one machine. But things don’t go very well, and their goalie has a few laughs at their expense.

This animation was primarily done in 3D Studio Max, but I used After Effects for the mouth sync and also added in some watercolour elements, with text added in Photoshop. It was nominated for the ‘Best Newcomer’ Award at the Oska Bright Film Festival 2015.
