InDesign Tutorial : How to type algebra formulas in InDesign using Grep styles

In this video I have showed how to type algebra formulas in Adobe InDesign using Grep Styles.

First we have to create a Character Style and name it as UP.

To shift up the powers it will look a number of maximum two digits.
If it finds the number, it will check whether it is preceded by a small letter a to z or open or closing bracket, a plus or a minus sign. It will also check whether the found number is followed by a closing bracket or a single space. If all these conditions are met, it will shift up the numbers.

Sample Formulas
================
a2 + b2 = a2 +2ab + b2
2×2 – 3xy + 5 = 0
xyz + x3
x2 = 2
(a + b)2 = a2 + 2ab + b2
(a – b)2 = a2 – 2ab + b2
a2 – b2 = (a – b)(a + b)
(a + b)3 = a3 + b3 + 3ab(a + b)
(a – b)3 = a3 – b3 – 3ab(a – b)
a3 – b3 = (a – b)(a2 + ab + b2)
a3 + b3 = (a + b)(a2 – ab + b2)
