Indesign CC: How to format a novel from start to finish
Ok, this is a long one.
I made all paragraph styles on the spot, and imported nothing except the Word doc. The whole book is one continuous auto-flowing text frame, which is how I like it. The video starts with the doc opened in Word, and ends with a final, printable PDF that looks pretty darn good.
I do this every day folks, and it’s how I make my living. So my mouse pointer moves fast. But you can pause the video to see what I’m clicking on. I also added some comments throughout.
Indesign CC (latest version in 2016) on Windows.
I’ll post more videos doing similar work in different programs. Ebook conversion in Sigil, novel formatting in Openoffice, etc.
