How to make a whiteboard animation in After Effects | FULL TUTORIAL

Create whiteboard animations in after effects using this technique. This technique requires after effects and illustrator. This is also an alternative to Videoscribe or Doodly if you already own After Effects.

I’ve been using this technique for multiple videos and projects. It’s a great freelance skill if you can draw the artwork, or hire someone to draw the artwork for you. Stick figure drawing has also worked for me in the past so don’t put it past yourself if you don’t have drawing skills. The software helps a ton.

//paste this expression on the rotation of the hand.
X = transform.position[0];
rot = linear(X,0,1250,-150,-98,)

You will need to change the values of the linear expression for different sized dimension comps. You can also change the values to make the rotation greater or lesser. I love the linear expression. It has replaced a lot of IF statements for me.
