How to Create an RGB Split Effect – Premiere Pro CC (2018 Tutorial)
Learn how to create the RGB split/color glitch & distortion effect for your YouTube videos, vlogs, music videos, and short films! This is a very popular video editing effect that you can create almost instantly using the “VR Digital Glitch” effect in the “Immersive Video” section of your video effects panel in Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2018! There’s also another method using the video effect, “Arithmetic” in this video editing tutorial.

Method 1: Use the built-in default effect “VR Digital Glitch”, apply it to your desired clip(s), and set the distortion strength to 0%.
Method 2: Use the built-in default effect “Arithmetic”, duplicate your desired clip(s) until there are 3 copies of them, apply the effect to your desired clip(s), set the Operator to “Max” for each copy, set the blend mode to “Linear Dodge (Add)”, set the value of Red on one copy to 255, then do the same thing for the other two copies but for Blue and Green instead of Red.
