In After Effects start with a solid layer and choose any color.
Now grab the rectangle tool and draw out a long box like this.
Open the shape layer and add a wiggle paths.
Increase the size to 150, the detail to 5, the wiggles per second to .5. And lastly set the points to smooth.
This should give your shape a wave type motion.
Go to effect – perspective – drop shadow. Set the direction to 0 degrees, the distance to 20 and the softness to about 160.
Now you can duplicate this shape and move it over. Be sure to change the color to create contrast.
And you can do another duplicate and move these over to the other side.
