This tutorial will demonstrate how to create a custom long shadow effect in minutes using Adobe Photoshop. This method uses a custom ‘action’ that will enable you to instantly use this effect again in future, saving you a lot of time. Typically, creating a long shadow effect often involves rasterising the shadow. However, this technique uses Smart Objects, and clearly demonstrates why they are a must-know feature for any Photoshop user.
