In this video tutorial I’ll show you The Easy Way How to Create Chiseled Text Effect in Adobe Illustrator.

Hello Guys.
Welcome again,

In this tutorial we will create a text effect, this text effect is called Chiseled Text Effect. Chiseled Text Effect is a retro-style text effect that looks like a 3D text with a carved surface. With a blend of vintage colors, this text will look very good.

Chisel Text Effect is quite simple, we can create using Geometric fonts (sans serif) that have been installed. But keep in mind that this technique does not work on all fonts, try looking for proportional geometric fonts like Roboto or Kayak Sans.

The process of making this Text Effect consists of four stages.

The first stage, we prepare the Text. This stage includes the selection of fonts, thicken the text and also duplicate the text that will be used as background text in the final stage.

Second stage, at this stage we turn the text into a stroke and assemble the frame using the Pen tool.

Third stage, at this stage we change the Text Frame to Shapes by using Shape Builder Tool and also give color
in the text.

Fourth stage, at this stage we just thicken outline text and also give background to text.
