Best of the West



This is one of my most recent broadcast pieces. I decided to follow in the footsteps of the PBR, and think of bucking bulls the way most people think of monster truck shows, big, loud and in your face!

I created the motion graphic “bounce” effects seen in conjunction with the logo, in After Effects along with the text “shake” and “shatter” used on the bulls’ names.

All graphic content and text was original artwork created in Photoshop, including the custom vignette.

Some gamma curve adjustments, speed ramps, simple element motion keyframing and audio work, along with all the video were done in Adobe Premiere.

All told it took about 4 solid days in the edit suite, but I am pretty happy with the results.
