This Quick Tip is about the align tool, a lifesaver when you first learn about it especially when you want to place layers in the centre of your composition.

Just click the buttons in the Align tab to move a layer to the edges of a comp or to the centre.

If you select two or more layers and use the align tools it will align the layers together for example to have the same spaced gaps between all layers.
