After Effects Tutorial – Null Objects

Null objects are invisible layers in After Effects. You can use the parent pick whip to have other layers in your composition follow the movement of your null object. This helps create efficient control of movement since you only need to alter the null object as the parent, and the other layers (child) will follow.

Watch this short tutorial to see a Null Object control the rotation, position, and scale properties of four shape layers.
