In Windows select Edit/preferences/general
in Mace select Edite/references/general

General Tab:
select zoom with scroll wheel

interface tab:
color theme – Most professionals seem to use the dark theme.
ui font size

File handling tab:
check Automatically save recovery information. Set to every 5 minutes

Maximize PSD & PSB file compatibility – Select never if you do not need your files to be compatible with older versions of Photoshop. This will reduce file size 20 to 40 percent.

performance tab: if you have low ram, set to approximately 60%. If you have high ram, set between 80 and 90%. I have 12 GB and I set mine at 90%.

If you do not have a graphics card, get one. I have one, but need to upgrade. Photoshop pointed out that my card may not be compatible for 3D

Plug ins tab:

check “show all filter gallery groups and names.
